1960s California Originals Turtle Cookie jar

Measurements is Approximately: 13" H x 8 1/4" W
Turtle is marked with 2615 USA on backside twards the bottom of the turtle. Under the lid it is also marked with 2615.
There is some slight paint wear due to its age. There is also two small chips on the top where the lid sits which is shown in the fourth picture. I have placed a circle over each small chip to show you where they are.
The California Originals company began in 1945 as Heirlooms of Tomorrow. Their first products were porcelain lace figurines. A few years later they changed their name to California Originals with the production of pottery artware. The majority of their cookie jars were of animals such as this turtle jar. The main color of the cookies jars were brown with most jars having a matte finish. Most California Original pieces were usually marked with a three or four digit number and USA either somewhere on the rim, the back or near the bottom of the pieces. In 1982 California Originals ceased operations and closed for good.
