Lovely 1950s Handmade Tissue Box by Florentia in Italy #1478.
This is a Tole Wood handmade and painted gold gilt with ivory overlay tissue box.
It has hand carved gilded acanthus leaves on the top. The sides are also hand carved with lovely gilding.
Original sticker is on the bottom with the number 1478.
There is also a carving in the wood CE made in Italy.
This is more than likely the artist initials.
The box is hinged and in perfect condition.
There is no chips in the wood.
The Ivory paint is worn as you can see in the pictures over the years of use.
This box itself is worth approximately 50-65$
